1st Mi-17 Full Mission Simulator to Be Located in Central Europe
The Slovak Ministry of Defense (MOD) has contracted Virtual Reality Media, a.s. (VRM), a simulator manufacturer based in Trenčin, Slovakia, to build Mi-17 fixed-base Full Mission Simulator. The simulator including a training center will be completed and available for training in April 2010. This is the first Mi-17 Full Mission Simulator that will be based in Central Europe and the Slovak MOD intends to make this unique training capability available for NATO and EU allies to train their helicopter crews deployed in various peace keeping missions.
The use of modern simulators for basic, advanced and mission training is a great contribution to the quality, safety and efficiency of today's training requirements.
