Paris- Russian Helicopters, JSC, and Pall Europe have started cooperation on the M-8/17 helicopter modernization program. The Moscow Mil Helicopter Plant and Pall Europe signed an agreement at Paris Air Show 2009 to provide engine particle separators for new and previously delivered civil Mi-8/17 helicopters.

The agreement envisions research & development and the release of documentation necessary to modernize new and previously delivered civil Mi-8/17 helicopters.

The new particle separators will significantly enhance engine operation performance of Mi-8/17 helicopters, which is particularly important for operators in the Middle East and Africa.

The new particle separators provided by Pall Europe will be installed at the Moscow Mil Helicopter Plant facilities or by authorized technical support centers.

"We've been working toward this partnership for quite a long time and we're happy the agreement was signed here at Paris Air Show," Andrei Shibitov, CEO, Russian Helicopters, said.
