History

 Reductor - PM OJSC was set up in 1995 as an offspring of the Perm Engine Company -  "Perm Motors" OJSC.

The gearbox production was established October 6, 1951. On this day the Perm Engine-building plant was given a task to start preparation for serial production of P-5 gearbox for MI-4 helicopter.

  • 1952 - the plant mastered serial production of VR-1 gearbox for MI-1 helicopter
  • 1953 - the plant mastered serial production of R-5 gearbox for MI-4 helicopter
  • 1959 - the plant mastered serial production of P-7 gearbox for MI-6 and MI-10 helicopters
  • 1964 - the plant launched production of BP-8A gearbox for MI-8 helicopter
  • 1975 - the plant produced 838 gearboxes of different types
  • 1982 - the plant mastered production of VR-26 gearbox for helicopter MI-26, the heaviest helicopter in the world
  • 1986 - the plant started production of VR-14 gearboxes for helicopters MI-8MT, MI-14 and MI-17
  • 1994 - the plant produced the first gearboxes for MI-34 helicopter - primary gearbox BP-34 and tail gearbox XP-34
  • 1995 - "Reductor-PM" company was separated from the Open Joint Stock Company "Perm Motors"
  • 1995 - the company produced gearboxes R-25, 2500 kW, for gas-turbine-powered sets and gearboxes VR-29 and HR-29 for helicopters MI-28N
  • 1997 - the company produced pilot gearboxes VR-23 and HR-23 for helicopter "ANSAT" made in Kazan
  • 1999 - the company produced gearboxes P-45, 4000 kW, for gas-turbine-powered sets. 1999 - the company produced gearboxes P-45, 4000 kW, for gas-turbine-powered sets.

Today there are about 12 500 helicopters equipped with our gearboxes all over the world: in Russia, East Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
